NETWORK TYPES:-
Network type depends on how large they are and how much of an area they cover geographically.
PAN:- PAN stands for Personal Area Network

PAN:- PAN stands for Personal Area Network
- The network that is used on a personal level.
- Pan uses wireless technologies such as Bluetooth.
- Pan's are used to transfer small files such as music, photos, calendar appointment etc..
LAN:- LAN stands for Local Area Network
- A group of devices such as computer, servers, switches & printers that are located in the same building and that are connected with ethernet cables.
- examples:- Networking in home, office.
WLAN:- WLAN stands for Wireless Local Area Network
- Uses wireless communication instead of wired communication
- Wireless LAN has wifi.
CAN:- CAN stands for Campus Area Network
- A network that joins 2 or more lans together within a limited area
- example:- universities
MAN:- MAN stands for Metropolitan Area Networks
- Larger than a can.
- Spans over several buildings in a city or town.
- It is having high-speed data to send or receive data.
- A special high-speed network that stores and provides access to a large amount of data.
- San's are not affected by network traffic such as bottlenecks.
WAN:- WAN stands for Wide Area Network
- The largest type of network.
- A wan includes MAN,CAN and LAN.
- Spans over a large geographical area
- example:- The internet is an example of a wan
